Marsden was a Wes­ley­an Meth­od­ist mis­sion­ary who em­i­grat­ed to No­va Sco­tia in 1800. He moved to Ber­mu­da in 1808, to Amer­i­ca in 1812, and re­turned to Eng­land in 1814. He preached on the Ply­mouth Dock cir­cuit around 1815. His works in­clude:
